2025 Residence Permit Fee Increases Confirmed by Turkish Authorities
The Turkish Directorate General of Migration Management has officially confirmed new residence permit fees effective from January 2025, with increases of between 18% and 32% across all permit types.
The Turkish Directorate General of Migration Management (DGMM) has officially confirmed new residence permit (ikamet) fees for 2025, with increases that reflect the ongoing adjustment to domestic inflation benchmarks.
Short-term residence permit fees have increased to approximately 4,150 TRY for the card issuance fee alone, up from 3,100 TRY in 2024. For applicants from high-demand nationalities — including those from the US, UK, and several EU member states — additional document compliance fees may also apply.
Long-term and family reunification permit fees have seen proportionally smaller increases, remaining in the range of 3,800–5,200 TRY depending on permit duration and permit sub-type.
The DGMM has also announced that applicants renewing expired permits within the 60-day grace period will face an additional late renewal surcharge of 850 TRY. This is a new measure and was not applicable in previous years.
Applicants are advised to confirm current fees directly via the e-ikamet portal at the time of application, as fees are subject to mid-year adjustment under Turkey's inflation-indexed public fee schedule. All fees must be paid at a PTT branch or through the online payment gateway before the appointment date.
